iCardiac Technologies Appoints Alex Zapesochny as President and COO

Rochester, New York – May 2, 2006 – iCardiac Technologies, Inc., a company offering technology that enables pharmaceutical companies to more effectively determine the safety of drugs in clinical trials, announced today that Alex Zapesochny, an experienced technology executive and attorney, has joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Zapesochny will oversee numerous functions at the company, including operations, regulatory compliance, legal, finance and human resources.

Zapesochny was previously a member of the executive management team of Lenel Systems International, a developer and global supplier of high-end software, products and services for the security industry, where he was General Counsel and Director of Business Development. During his tenure at Lenel, the company achieved extraordinary growth, becoming the supplier of choice to over sixty percent of all Fortune 100 companies, and was sold for $440 million to United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX). Zapesochny remained with UTC after the acquisition as part of its law department and continued in his legal and business development roles within the Lenel Systems subsidiary. In private practice, he has provided legal and business counsel to early-stage companies, including within the software and fuel cell industries.

Zapesochny’s other experience includes being a trial attorney during his tenure as a New York City prosecutor, a policy division staff member in the Washington headquarters of a presidential campaign, President of a real estate investment firm, and Co-Founder and Executive Director of a non-profit that expands the national registry of potential bone marrow and blood stem cell donors. He received his Bachelor’s in Applied Economics from Cornell University and his law degree from American University.
